The Grand Circle Cruise Line hosts their annual Poster Competition that would feature vintage travel posters, made by students from all over New England. These poster are placed on their cruise line for tourists to see during their travels. For the students, it was our job to design a vintage poster that relates to one of the given locations of their cruise line. My choice for a destination was new Zealand, as I wanted to do more research on the Maori Culture. What caught my attention the most was not only the beautiful view of land and mountains, but also the people and their love for masks and tattoos. I wanted to include as much as possible, such as the landscape, the tourists attractions, and even an intricate mask. I also wanted to play with type for a more tribal feel.
