Design is my visual voice...

Hello there! I'm Katie.

I'm a 2016 graduate from Framingham State University. I majored in Studio Art with a concentration in Graphic Design, and minored in Communication Arts. I graduated Cum Laude with a 3.59 GPA. I also worked as a Junior Designer, and Social Media Coordinator at Ward Communications, located in West Roxbury, Massachusetts. I'm a Graphic Designer in search for a full time position within the Boston and Providence areas. My portfolio consists of all my work from college, my internship, and the start of my design career.

Society may only think that graphic design is just the art of business, but it is far more expressive and unique than we think. So much can define a designer with the use of form, type, and color. In my past four years of the program, I never imagined learning so much about my individuality through the use of a drawing tablet and the touch of a keyboard. It all started by winning my height in ice cream from a coloring contest at almost three years old.

From there, I explored more of the fine arts and the idea of visual speaking. I knew that the visual arts would be a goal and passion of mine for my future career. I then created my ideas with the use of technology and learned how to create graphic arts and design. Every typeface, form, image and color choice will define my life both as a person and a designer. Design is a way of expressing my visual voice.
